Thanksgiving is a season of gratitude, connection, and cherished traditions. From childhood memories in New England to celebrations with friends in Georgia, Jen reflects on the unique moments, and companions, that have made each year special.

Children and families are navigating hurt, loss, and crisis every day. There is no quick fix, but CASA volunteers step into these fractured moments and help nudge everyone forward, one step at a time. If I can be a part of raising awareness, advocating for resources, and speaking up for permanent connections to family, I will.  

Birthdays bring a special kind of joy and reflection. For children and youth experiencing foster care, they can also bring up feelings of uncertainty or loss. But as CASA volunteers, staff, and supporters, we can help make these moments feel meaningful.

Many children and families in foster care struggle to be truly seen and heard. Historically, our society has often only tolerated individuals with different sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.
